I am an independent historic buildings consultant and surveyor, based in Dorset, Kent and Oxford and working primarily across southern England and London.
After taking a degree in Literae Humaniores from Somerville College, Oxford, I worked and trained as a building surveyor in private practice in Kent, before moving to the National Trust in Dorset. Since 2010, I have run a successful consultancy providing proactive services, including building surveys, heritage statements and technical advice on repair and conservation strategies. I am also researching (part-time) for a Doctorate in Architectural History at Kellogg College, Oxford, which focusses on late medieval and early modern public buildings.
More information about me can be found on my website.
This blog is intended to provide my personal thoughts on both historic environment issues and also any other little things of interest, as and when time permits of course! If you would like to get in touch or share your own views, please do contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
